Find a different site for your opinions if you're not going to at least suggest something better.

No, design at it's worst would be if people listened to critics like you who think the Stone Age was fine and dandy. It's a BIRDHOUSE for Pete's sake, there's nothing that needs to be crucial about it.

Yeah, because a predator really needs something to stand on to try to break into a hole he won't even fit in in the first place. Besides, it's not only for the birds. It's for people too. It's supposed to be aesthetic.

You can't seriously be saying you think birds are night blind. That's simply ludicrous. Now a bird can find its way back home after a long evening out. I’m impressed. Congratulations on a winner!

Finally… a smart and economical solution for a problem that has existed for years. Create and "solve" problem that doesn't exist:
Birds don't have a problem to find the nest.
Birds don't fly in the night as they sleep. Artificial light makes it worst.
Using solar panel where unnecessary is bold waste of the resources - the panels were manufactured and shipped from China. Even if they hide behind words "solar, green, ecological, etc.."
Also, I am sure that birds would be excited about using meranti wood imported half way thru the world from Malaysia.
Unecessary product with zero added value and huge carbon footprint. This is design at its worst.
Please leave birdhouses construction for kids. They do it better and use local materials like old wooden boxes or waste material. The whole point of birdhouse is NOT to provide accomodation to birds. They can manage without those birdhouses completely.
Kids build birdhouses for two reasons: to learn basic crafts skills and to learn something about nature.
This "design" is exactly what overexcited kid would build if got spare money to spend.

This is design masturbation in its worst!

Create and “solve” problem that doesn’t exist:<br
