The problem with the traditional fire extinguisher is that the average lady would find it troubling to unhook and remove and actually carry and use. So..

Try using your current concept as a loading dock, that the actual fire extinguisher can be removed from the dock (maybe keep a more traditional form then) because I think this looks awesome. Maybe Dual canons too

just seems like more risk of a worse fire. it looks cool but that’s it. it is impractical. the traditional proven fire extinguisher is safe and it works. it is also a well known object so there is no confusion. i dont see the need to make an emergency tool look hip.

Part of the industrial appeal of the metal one is its a battering ram or weapon. The two biggest fears in using one are
1) Can i get it to work
2) Will i get burned when using it while wearing shorts and a polyester t-shirt

The new design seems flimsy. Now if you said it was a souped up design with a newfangled material that put out 4 rooms of fire in 25 seconds or less .. now there is some WOW in that.

Or if the device did 3 things, in this order
1) was a SCBA
2) Enveloped the user in a fire resistant foam
3) Put out 4 rooms of fire in less than 25 seconds
Then I would say, sign me up. NOW
