I own a drinking bottle for my daughter which has recycle symbol #7 on the bottom. This could imply it is made of polycarbonate which is not recyclable and may leach BPA as far as I know?

Is the Mepal collection BPA free? If you want to keep your dry foods dry and bug-free, nothing beats these boxes!
Plus they all have similar sizes and are usually neatly stackable, which saves a lot of space in stuffed kitchen cabinets.

Have you ever kept sugar, flour, conflakes and other hygroscopic stuff in the original paper bag/box?<br

However, I think I'd rather have the mason jar type containers, as well.

One of my goals, before I die, is to have a pantry as neat as the one pictured. The gaskets tend to roll up when you put the lids and then you cant remove them - and some just don't fit well, allowing ants to get inside.
The Container Store has another design which is more like the old fashioned mason jars but with nice clean lines and chrome latches - get those instead!

I advise against buying these.
