In 1960 Achille Castiglioni designed two similar lamps for Flos.
See Viscontea and Taraxacum S, two suspension lamps, both made by Flos.

I dont know if you can call it important, intersting yes but “important” no. The wire frame/spandex trick is a good one, the vibe is a ww1 wood and fabric aircraft.
