Hi Dave,

I agree... it's an amazing design. I'd love to see if the hinge and brackets hide when closed. From the looks of things, it probably doesn't. I'm assuming the hinge is exposed and makes it easy to distinguish the door from the walls.

It would be difficult to utilize this in existing builds, but would look amazing in new builds where space isn't an issue. Also, it would get a bit filthy after a lot of use. Sadly, people are still getting used to touch screens and require an icon or button to help them determine what can be touched. In this case, the older generation will probably find it hard to get used to the fact that there are no door knobs and... funny thought... will be trapped in there forever!! hehehehehe ;)

Nevertheless, I still think it would be amazing in studios and workshops - where you always never have a free hand to open a bloody door. Oh, and I think this is so much more friendly than the double action swing doors that wack you the moment nothing keeps it open - except for the ones in hospitals where they actually have gas struts that soft close. Ewww... so ugly.

Cheers,
Steph :)

Beautiful design - does need a lot of space to be functional though.

I do love the way you get to interact with your home, changing what seems like a base part of its structure for your own purposes.

Great for tantrums too (!) ... just shove the wall out of the way and storm out!

Nice concept, but i'd like to see what its like when its closed to understand if it becomes completely invisible. That would be special.
