@zippyflounder: as shown in the 2nd picture the main body is meant to be some feet above surface level, the barracuda can withstand bigger waves than high speed boats gliding on an air-cushion (one wave and you have an air-plane, being submerged for a few seconds is probably the better choice than whirling in the air without control), and yes the next step would be building a working prototype.
by the way, swimmers are not a hydrofoil only "problem"
@jheylin: it is a 2 seater as this thing was built to play in the same league as the x-bow, you can use it purely for racing, it is even possible to replace the 2nd seat with an additional fuel-tank, the rear hydrofoil is able adjust to a changing center of mass like an aileron on an airplane.
or you can use it for fun, just like the x-bow and other 2 seated sports car, cruising just makes more fun if you have companion

Hi folks, thanks for your comments.

@zippyflounder: as shown in the 2nd picture the main body is meant to be some feet above surface level, the barracuda can withstand bigger waves than high speed boats gliding on an air-cushion (one wave and you have an air-plane, being submerged for a few seconds is probably the better choice than whirling in the air without control), and yes the next step would be building a working prototype.<br
