Theres much less practical and applicable design projects shown here which serves no purpose. This project challenges an aspect of society, tests and analyses and applies to a context. This is product design. Well done

The technologies and techniques I used in this machine are simple, and the software i developed based on open source.

The point is that everything I did, can be (and is) already achieved in a much more sophisticated and dangerous way... but you won't hear or read about it. What I tried to create was a framework for discussion on these often secretive technologies... By your reactions I think I've done that.

an - as i said in my press release: “the purpose of this device is to raise questions about the possible role of surveillance technology in healthcare, and the potential uses (misuses?) of this data by others.” I have thought a lot about the consequences of these technologies but the system I developed stands merely as illustration of what could be achieved.

i think this is definitely an art project. not a product. so like...its supposed to make you think about stuff, not be for a practical purpose...as in this is how you should be reacting to the actual existing systems that this project is imitating.

What a disappointment Yanko Design, for such a poor
editing decision indirectly promoting this type
of project.Ironically in the same page as the Design for Poverty International Contest. Questions of integrity
arise. What a shame.
