well its not going to save any energy air is a horrid working fluid for use in AC's. It would be a nice design if tied into a geological heat pump however.

hahaha....damn, way to kill it in it's tracks brian.

regardless of the possible flaws in the healthy functioning of the system, I think it's a great exploration into alternative AC units. Rarely do you see a design that has nailed down the working elements of such a complex product to the point where it is for the most part believable.

I think the aesthetics of the unit are well suited to the product and definitely get across the fact that it is environmentally friendly and "forward thinking." The vertical grill detailing is very well executed. I think the green might be a tad to loud for some tastes, but who knows. It also looks like the trio of units mounted to the wall are working in a combo- does this indicate system modularity? ie, the larger the space, the more units needed? If so, that's a neat idea as well, only using enough units and power that your home needs.

is this solidworks/photoworks?

Polylactic acid plastics have a relatively short lifespan compared to the 10 year average use of an AC unit and actually end up using more fossil fuels in the production of "bioplastics" than would be used in PET production. Ionized inducted air is also known to raise household ozone to levels beyond FDA standards and are thus banned in California - the reason is that they significantly increase respiratory problems from worsening asthma to chest pain and shortness of breath. The final blow to this concept is the use of an open condensation system which is also well known to have notable problems with mold & mildew thus further causing respiratory problems - AC manufacturers have known this for years and don't use it because of this fact.

The form is nice however and I'd have it in my home if it wasn't a toxic combo.
