The Etihad one is smaller, as the bed continues under the table, lessening the space taken by about a foot.
It also has a side compartment for hand luggage, which i cant see here.
I love the idea of the side table in the JAL one, but I think the TV is too far away :)
Having a smaller compartment gives you a closer TV (debatable if that is good or bad on a 17 hour flight).
I think all airlines are coming up with these kind of things, with a few modifications.
