The point is not to make a use experience more pleasurable. If that's what you want go to DAS Keyboard. This is designed to meet the environment, not the user. I.E. a surgical field where the doctor needs to access patient info during a case. You can't sterilize most keyboards between patients.

you seem don't really know about design. what you say "design is not merely a matter of look.
To a large exent it is a matter of behaviour. And global advantage" is really right.but the matter is that how do you think about the behavior and advantage. good looking is certainly an advantage. You may think the cost is one of the problem. But you forget, every nice thing is more expensive than common one.
The most important thing is how you balance the advantage and shortcome.

the idea is really good and the whole matter on whether or not it is usable is arguable…

personally, i do think it is practical for many… i don’t know about the others, but i used to have a difficult time using the mousepad on a laptop, but got used to it after a while.. the same principle would be applied in this case…

This is a great idea. It would work if it had some kind of irregularities so you can feel the keys and if there was an amount of pressure the keys would respond to so you can still rest your fingers

It was reported by BBC in 1,may,08 that the keyboard is five times ditier than toilet:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7377002.stm
Maybe the concept can solve the problem.
Great !
