it appears to be a hybrid of neon and electrolumicent technologies, that at least is intersting however might become dated in light of deveopments in oled tech.

The prose is vapid but you got a great model, well photographed. The idea of putting lights in funiture is a old old concept (juke boxes from the 30′s/40′s at least).
