yes there is. The reason is that products and their forms shapes colours can be an uplifting visual enhancement to its environment in some cases. This is one of those , I like it.

Yeah, after looking at the pics, I noticed how bright the LEDs were on the device itself. Sure, cool idea to cut down on standby devices, but this device itself is drawing power on its own… So its a bit of a waste of time…and would use up more power if you had 1 per device…

There is no need for clocks on microwaves and ovens.Those appliances should be ables to turn themselves off.

I guess most clients would rather have none if they knew they were constantly paying for it.

My thoughts exactly.
ive thought about this idea many times, its a pretty simple concept:
have all appliances that can be totally powered down without affecting functionality hooked up to some kind of system that controls a kill switch or timer. preferably hidden

I agree with Lim.

Also, the best way to save electricity is to simply turn those appliances OFF at the wall when you’re not using them. How difficult is it to just plug the toaster in in the morning, make your toast, then unplug the damn thing.
