[...] The nUCLEUS takes everything you think you know about motorcycle design and turns it on its side. Truly unlike any other bike design out there NONOBJECT designed this bike to stand on its own in terms of design rather than take inspiration from every other bike concept out there. When not in use the motorcycle looks like a weird box, but when in motion the wheels extend and the saddle rises, showing off its function. Source [...]

(source) [...]

@hosh, yeah, i totally agree with you.
it's pure brainstorming turned into objects.
as the main part of the projects designed by nonobject
you functional designers, calm down!
and try to take inspiration from ideas that could seem stupid but they express a way to break the rules we all are used to.

I'm not a designer, so I fail to see the appeal of the form.

I am an engineer and motorcycle rider, so I can speak to the function.

There are no provisions for the rider's legs - it appears as though the fairing bulges and would cause the rider to spread his legs to an uncomfortable position.

Many motorcycles are air-cooled and rely on airflow over the engine to prevent overheating. Even the water-cooled ones need airflow through the radiator.

There isn't enough room for all the articulation the suspension will see during riding - look specifically at area like the handlebar slots.

The front appears to be a scoop that would prove very unwieldy during turns.

There isn't any appearance of anything functional other than some cheesy lights that wouldn't be sufficient for riding.

To me, it appears as though this bike was designed by Ikea.
