What Would Jesus Build?
Some Chinese Christians have faith that Jesus might give his blessing to this accordion harkening church designed by Architect GMP. Serving as China’s largest Christian church, with repeating vertical lines reaching to the heavens, the architects have created an open and bright space that reflects their client’s openness and belief in their state of enlightenment. The interior does a decent job of reflecting the less-is-more lessons Jesus preached to his followers and is in sharp contrast to the opulent and ornate gothic cathedrals commonly seen in Catholic churches. I still look forward to a church design that truly reflects what Jesus taught and incorporates a hillside setting that celebrates nature’s beauty and grounds us all to this beautiful Earth, while rising our spirits to the heavens. Back to the drawing board I guess…

Wrong guess my friend. That church has already been designed and build in Finland. Maybe you could show it too.

Beautiful church! Loved the lighting and the minimalistic style over it. The greatest church I’ve seen except the old grand ones.

looks more like a prison with all those vertical bars on it…..

it does not look nice, in my opinion a church should not look so “technically”, it should look more “handmade” and be decorated with e.g. paintings.

sure looks impressive and ‘nice’ externally, but felt that it is a bit ‘confined’ and intimidating sans openings on the sides on the inside.

The article is written by someone who comes from a New Age type of background. He is using New Age language to describe Christianity!!!

“The Wednesday Workout: Practical Techniques for Rehearsing the Church Choir” by Richard Devinney seems to
me like one of those books that new choir directors should really decide to get
into upon entering into the position as a choir director.
You have to make a conscious effort to remember that you don’t have to do it all alone. Many people aren’t comfortable with advertising, because
it can be expensive, and it can be tough to track your results.
