Now This is Hot!
Horizontal heaters are so passé. Or at least says the mind behind this aptly named “Wall Ceramic Heater” by Andrey Vostrikov. Andrey claims this heating concept provides better energy efficiency, faster heating times and measurable noise reduction. As if packing some serious heat were not enough, Andrey also added the ability to generate negative ions (for that oh-so-soothing tropical rain forest feeling) and built-in LED lights, to see your friends faces when they ask; “What the hell is this thing..?

I like it! I donno if you blogged it, but the modulo radiator by Anna Gotha is also pretty, and awesome
http://architectradure.blogspot.com/2008/01/wearable-vs-furniture-radiator.html
Anna Gotha wanted to make more use of the heat from a radiator by designing a radiator with multiple functions. The modules are designed with an upholstered aluminium core to use the installed radiator parts as a piece of furniture to lean up against. “Heating parts can be hanged on a wall, carried in a purse, or used more traditionally as a “furniture” that heats a large surface”

Well, I’d definitely pick a gas (or even electric) fireplace as an attractive way to heat a room first, but this is pretty snazzy design. Now, find me an attractive air conditioner to replace the vintage 1981 thing I’ve got in the living room wall, and I’ll be a long-time fan.

I’m SO with you!!! *Kicks the moldy, musty, insect-loving, water-dripping FEDDERS unit out of his window…then decides to finish the job and blows his entire trailer to hell* …Uh… now I can put “new house” on my list.

First of all the design is quite nice in form but I am not sure about function. If it is supposed to be efficient the heat would exit at the top… and along the wall. If you have ever seen the effect of prolonged concentrated airflow you know the stain it leaves.
Also heat and paint don’t mix all that well.
Easy fix: Shape it like a parascope or one of those old ship exhausts
