Nail Cushion Saves Fingers
Sometimes nails are too short and small for our fingers to hold and we end up with swollen thumbs. The Nail Cushion is a rubberized plate that holds various nail diameters to allow an easy and safe strike. By default the plate also helps drive the nail straight in. No more swollen thumbs and safe enough for Tim Allen to use.

Clever stuff. Only concern is the practical application of the product.

A comb would work the same way

yeah, maybe two really thick flat combs made of something you can smash with a hammer & pin to the wall with a nail…
…they would work the same way. A single comb wouldn’t provide equivalent functionality at all.

I’m a carpenter and this sucks !
Why dont you folks dont tap gently the nail into wood t’ill it hold by itself then hammer it !
Pointless !
Look’s good tought..

Just use a pair of pliers to hold the nail rather than creating production exhaustion and more landfill waste for a product that does not need to exist.

This product has been done before and i have seen it. It was featured on the “New Inventors” show in Australia. It was made out of rubber so it didn’t break and it only had one hole that fitted all nail sizes.I must say…It is a waste of a product. A good idea but the reality is…not many people will BUY or USE it.

Yes, because a comb has an even surface and/or will not break on contact with a hammer. Get real.
