The bulb has a kind of pretty, kind of tacky glowing glass flower inside of it. Once you add the stalk-like cord however, the overall effect is actually quite nice. I am not sure how much light this thing actually puts out- I assume it is more suited for teenagers’ bedroom/dorm room than for a reading lamp in the livingroom, but still cool enough to make me want to pass it along.
