As you said, "the sandtrap is the hardest place to play the ball out of is because the ball kinda sinks into the sand when it lands. So when you try to hit the gold ball with a regular club you have to go through all the sand in front of the ball then hit the ball so that it scoops the ball up and propels it out of the pit. This club helps you by limiting the amount of resistance you receive when you hit the sand before the ball. What causes this limitation of resistance is the hollow base of the club. The hollow base makes it so that the the sand moves through the club unlike a conventional club where the club hits the sand full on and saps all the energy out of your swing. It's kinda like the fly swatter design, a fly swatter has many wholes in the surface so that the air moves through the swatter. If you plugged all the wholes in the swatter you would receive a bunch of resistance because the air would have to travel around the swatter instead of going through the middle.

i'd be interested to know how the shape of the body aids the club in hitting the ball in sandy conditions. I know that in regular golf, the sandtrap is the hardest place to play the ball out of. looks like you have some kinda "wing" on the bottom of the club possibly for this. I'm a little skeptical though about playing a game that potentially sprays sand in the faces of people trying to sunbathe, although this could be avoided i suppose.

REALLY love the angle adjustment though. Why hasn't this been applied to regular golf clubs, at least on economy-range equipment? Brilliant!!
