since the uk is finding this concept hard to understand…even when not in use, items plugged into sockets use small amounts of energy. physically unplugging the items, not just switching them off, actually saves on energy.

I really cant see what this is! Am I correct in thinking they have 'invented' some velcro that sticks the plug in the socket better????

Neat little idea, I think however that it wouldnt really have much of a use in the UK as we already have the problem covered.

Well yes, in UK outlets have switches, but the plugs are so ugly and large that you could fit a nuclear plant in them!!!
