Very true. I also think the support can be directed to the floor when in operation by lowering the unit until it rests on the ground, this would at least help take the balancing off the suspension. Who knows maybe it’s already designed to do that…

Not if they use the rails on both sides.
but it seems like this would only be useful in developing countries that haven’t the resources to keep udgrading their airports for all those new aircraft. finding the space for them to land is hard enough.
