SkyLift – Boarding System for Aircraft by Hannes Seeberg
Self-propelled boarding system for narrow, medium and wide body aircraft with a door height between 2200 and 5800mm. Designed for safety, speed and capacity, two elevators and a bridge provide best possible conditions of comfort for passengers. It helps solve problems that occur within passenger staircase – such as falls, bottleneck-effect, security risks and accessibility. All driving and aircraft approach operations are carried out with handheld control panel, ensuring the operator has total all-round visibility.

no this is just a concept and i bet there are many issues with this like having one side lift up needs a counter balance..

Not if they use the rails on both sides.
but it seems like this would only be useful in developing countries that haven’t the resources to keep udgrading their airports for all those new aircraft. finding the space for them to land is hard enough.

Very true. I also think the support can be directed to the floor when in operation by lowering the unit until it rests on the ground, this would at least help take the balancing off the suspension. Who knows maybe it’s already designed to do that…

There’s also the possibility of utilizing feet similar to a back-hoe tractor.
